Many try out the idea of making handmade soaps. Some find it is significantly more work and stress than they initially bargained for and they want no part of it. Others, however, find they love the entire process of making their own soap. Then, they find that the make considerably more than a usable amount. The next step of course is to find ways to sell it so they can continue doing what they love and find a way not to store 400 bars under the bathroom sink. There are many places you can get started selling your soaps. Ebay, Etsy, Amazon and other online retail spaces can be a great asset. “You can host a soap party and sell your soap to people in your home.” This is a great idea if you want to get to know your neighbors a little better. Other options include local craft fairs and farmer’s markets. “Whatever method you decide to use to sell your soap, just make sure to calculate the cost of all the ingredients, plus the time you have invested into making the soap.” Soap making can be a rewarding and profitable hobby for those who have the time to invest in the process. It can allow you to take a personal passion and turn it into a business. And, when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. FYI - A few fans of ours have moved up to become resellers. We handle the labor intensive part of making the handmade soap, and they run the business as fits them best. It’s a no-brainer; they get our quality products at discounted prices, earn extra cash too, as a distributor. More on this lucrative opportunity will follow in future posts. ### SOURCE: http://www.veggiesoaps.com/articles/great-ways-start-selling-your-homemade-soap/7.asp PHOTO: Shankar S. – Homemade Olive Oil Soap https://www.flickr.com/photos/shankaronline/

We are all looking for a better and more natural way to care for our skin. This can be especially important when removing our makeup and other products we add to our faces. What we do not want is something which makes our skin drier and contaminates our bodies with chemicals. The solution is quite simple, inexpensive, and readily available at most stores. “Witch hazel water removes makeup residue and is gentle on skin.” It is made from the witch hazel flower and works great as a skin toner. It removes make up without the added chemicals found in most big name products. And, fragrance can be added by combining equal parts rose water and witch hazel water. “For stressed, dry skin, apply extra-virgin olive oil after you take a shower or wash your face.” It still moisturizes as well as the big brand products but costs a small fraction of the cost. These products make skin care natural and inexpensive. They are natural ingredients which are found in most major stores. It is a simple thing we can do to take better care of ourselves and our skin without breaking the bank or searching all over for the needed components. ### SOURCE: http://www.motherearthnews.com/natural-health/worlds-simplest-skin-toner-zm0zfmzkin.aspx#axzz3Q9sKKjFg PHOTO: https://www.flickr.com/photos/toob/ - Face lifting Our hair has a lot of impact on the way we look. It can be used to highlight our other assets or hide something we are uncomfortable with. But, to do its job properly, it has to be in top condition. So, a high quality hair wrap is an indulgence our hair deserves. The first thing to do when making a hair wrap is to know what you want to accomplish with the wrap. The Rosemary Citron Scalp treatment is perfect antidote for your damaged hair. Every aspect of it is chosen specifically for what it can do for the fragile hair. “Rosemary stimulates the scalp; avocado—rich in fatty acids and vitamins A, B, and C—helps condition hair; and grapefruit provides an uplifting scent.” It is a combination of avocado oil, and essential oils from rosemary, cedar, and grapefruit. Once the ingredients are mixed in the correct proportions, it is super simple to use. “Pour oil into palm of hand and massage mixture into scalp and hair. “ Our DIY solution is to combine a measure (1 part) of avocado with (2 parts) of our two popular soaps Citron Honey Coriander and Rosemary Natural Soap. You combine the all natural soaps using the recipe for liquid soap we published in our previous article, Why We Don't Make Foaming Handsoap. And, ‘wha lah’, you have your perfect hair solution. Taking the time to do nurture your scalp and hair with a great wrap is a fantastic way to pamper yourself and help make your hair healthy and strong. It allows you to spoil yourself and take care of yourself all at the same time. That is a definite win. ### SOURCE: http://www.naturalhealthmag.com/beauty/diy-hair-mask PHOTO: Marie – Wrapping my hair |
